Two Generations Inc....
started as an informal group of several U.S. citizens who came to the United States from Colombia many years ago. For some time before the official formation of the organization on August 14, 2008, one of the current members began sending used wheel chairs, walkers, portable bathrooms and canes to the elderly and handicap in his homeland. Then, several years ago, we were approached by a local catholic priest to see if we were interested in getting involved in another project in a very poor area of Colombia where his congregation was doing mission work. We were immediately moved by the great need of the children of a small village in Guamal, Colombia and its surroundings and decided to help. We work with Missionary Servants of the Most Holy Trinity. Other in Antioquia (wheelchairs, etc…)

As a part of our work in Guamal, Colombia we work in conjunction with the Missionary Servants of the Most Holy Trinity, a catholic religious congregation of priest and brothers that has a mission in Guamal. Therefore, the goods, services and funds that we provide for the dining hall and the related services do or likely will be shared with or partly managed by the Missionary Servants assigned to this mission. Likewise, the medical equipment that we sent for the disabled and handicapped will likely someday be done in conjunction with organizations that serve this particular population.

When we first began...
we had the idea that each of member would sponsor a child. We soon realized that this would only benefit a handful of children and we wanted to do more. Because there are so many children who lack of food, clothes and medical attention in Guamal, we knew that we had to do something more. Therefore, to more effectively meet the essential needs of the children of Guamal and its surroundings, we decided to build a community dining room. We thought it would benefit more children and have a lasting effect on the local community. This new idea became a reality when someone generously donated the money to buy the land. We followed by making our own monetary donations to begin building the actual facility.

We have incorporated the work of sending walkers and wheelchairs into our other principal objective of building the dining room. These two efforts make up our organization’s current thrust and missionary work. To put it simply, we are working hard for these two generations in need: the children and the elderly. Wherever either of these two populations might be in need – we want to be there to help. We continue holding events and sponsor activities in order to fundraise to make these efforts possible. Because most of the medical instruments we acquire are in need of repair, we fix them, get them in working condition and ship them to where they are needed. The dining hall is still in the process of being built and more funds are needed for its completion.

Our extended dream...
is to continue improving the lives of the children in need, the elderly and handicapped.  We want to help not only in Colombia but in the United States or anywhere else within our reach.  This small group of everyday citizens cannot make it alone.  That is why we decided to became a recognized organization in the state of New Jersey (August 14, 2008, tax ID #26-3458082).  We need the help of people that can identify with us in this dream.  We need your help!  Together we can make a difference!
